Question

After Effects V 23.5 Using all my Ram

I have 128 Gb Of Ram and affter effect is using over 80 percent to render. I cant even preview without it sound slowed down. or make changes while its playing. Its Also using 100% of my Hard drive which is 2tb samsung solid state. Help!!!!

Could you let us know what effects, composition frame size, source files, number of layers, and bit depth you're working with? This will help us get a better idea of your project. Please also share your complete system specifications (OS, OS version, CPU, GPU) and After Effects version (Help > About After Effects).

I was creating an audio waveform video. Ive attached a picture of my screen.

Im running windows 10, version 22h2. CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz. GPU - Radeon RX580 Series. After Effect Version 23.5 Build 52

Are you using the Audio Waveform effect? Let us know if you see the high memory usage only while exporting, or while previewing as well. In the Task Manager, please check how much memory After Effects consumes.
