After Effects v22.1 Problem with Plugin

Question

I have installed a plugin [AfterCodecs 2.2] but it does not appear in After Effects 22.1.I checked the Plugins Directory /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/ and the plugin is there but noticed that all my plugins are in a folder named 7.0.My other plugins are all working correctly. Followed same procedure on my laptop and the plug in loaded fine and again it appears in the 7.0 directory. Any ideas? Thanks!

Some plugins get installed in the individual folders, like Trapcode and VideoCopilot's Twitch. All it means is that it won't work in other versions. You may have to copy the plugin from one AE directory to another if you want it to work in different versions. Otherwise, there's really no difference.
