After Effects version 17.0 shows second, moved window when playing the sequence

So when I want to see what I just created, AfterEffects "opens" a second window to show my animation. The window pops up anywhere in my composition, depends on how far I zoomed in or out.. It's really annoying and disturbs my workflow. Any guesses how to fix that? I already reinstalled, updated my mac etc. but nothing helped out. Thanks for your help!

Some user report this issue with the new macbook pro 16 inch, and it look like a bug so did your issue happen on this device?

Hmm no, thats kinda strange, I use an iMac late 2012... but I updated on Catalina (had the same problem with mojave), maybe my graphic card is too old for the OS?

here are my specs if someone needs to know them:

2,9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB (I already looked for an update for my GTX.. without success)
