Question

After effects won't open no matter what! (macOS)

I installed after effects from Creative Cloud and was eager to use it, but I kept getting the same message that said the app couldn't continue because of the CEP suite. I tried reinstalling more than once, and I still get the same issue. I also tried changing the permission on the app, and it didn't change a thing!! Can someone please tell me what to do? And if there's no solution, how can I cancel my yearly subscription without a fee?

Thank you for bringing this up, Danna.

Is this the first time you installed After Effects on this computer? Are there any third-party plug-ins installed for After Effects? Please try the steps provided in the following article: https://adobe.ly/421uqrY

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Nishu

No, I have installed it before, in 2021 or 2022, and it was working just fine. I also did what's on this article and I have changed the permissions, but still, nothing changes. I hope that you have another solution for me. My Mac's version is a 15.4 M1 chip, 8GB of memory.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
