After Effects won't open? Seems to be installed right and wrong at same time...

Just got new computer and reinstalled my CS6 Production Premium package which includes After Effects.

Install went without a hitch.

However, where before I had two icons/apps: After Effects and After Effects Render Engine, I now only have the Render Engine icon.ast log message was: <140736995177408> <AppDirs> <5> Required Dir =     /Applications/Adobe After Effects CS6/Adobe After Effects CS6.app/Contents/Required

I uninstalled After Effects and then reinstalled it. Same thing.

I try to open the render engine and it fails:

"Last log message was: <140736995177408>
<AppDirs> <5> Required Dir =     /Applications/Adobe After Effects CS6/Adobe After Effects CS6.app/Contents/Required"

I am running Mac OSX Sierra 10.12.3 on a mid 2015 MacBook Pro.

Other apps working fine

I suspect the AE version you installed.  It needs to be version 11.0.4 or higher.  You can get the update if you need it on this web site.  Someplace.  I have people who intstall my software, so I'm clueless.
