After Effects won't Render

So I just got After Effects 2020 today, and when I finished my 24 second project, I sent it to the render queue. I changed the settings that needed to be changed, but whenever I click "render", nothing happens. I've been looking for help all over but can't find any troubleshooting articles on my issue. Please help!!

Without exact info about your comp settings, render settings and your computer this isn't going anywhere.

Unless you are an expert, don't change any of the settings, don't create custom-sized comps, and use the Adobe Media Encoder to render your files for delivery to the public.

 

Without workflow details, it's pretty hard to even guess where the problem lies. The most common cause of an incomplete render is an inadvertent resetting of the work area.
