Ai Layers not importing

Question

Hi there, i'm trying to import an Ai file into Ae for animation, but only one of the layers is visible when i import it.The first image is the ai file. The second shows the one layer that does import with it's dimensions in the top left corner, and the third image shows what the other layers look like, no image with dimensions of 1x1. Any help would be appreciated!

AE doesn't support artboards. You need to use a single artboard. Also make sure to use a size that represents a common video workflow. I mean you have to zoom out to 12.5 to even see all your artwork in AI? Makes no sense at all and would result in a unnecessarily humungously large composition.
