Alternative of "OLM blur", to create smooth gradients for CEL animation

As I'm trying to do CEL animation post processing with a Mac, lets say I isolated two color (on a bitmap resource), this there any plugin that allow me to quickly blend them together without leaking on the edges?

What OLM blur does is basically allowing you to blend color and adjust the feather, without affecting the clean outline of a shape.

Thank you so much!

If you don't mind spending some money, you could buy RevisionFX' SmoothKit. Its blurs have options for thresholds and can be further contrained and guided using simple mask paths. If I were doing such comic shading stuff I'd probbaly use it a lot...

Coz for CEL animation the drawing can be complicated, so it's better the effect can be achieved without the use of any additional layer or set matte.
I'm kind of looking for a cleaner workflow.
