Animate text on an open path

Question

Hello everyone!

I saw this on the social and tried to immitate it,

I used text on mask path but when I try to animate the text moves away from the path

and If i mask it to hide it it chops on the edges and it looks like I put a mask to hide it.

Any ideas?

You need to animate the First Margin so that the text moves to the right precisely one full character and then add a loopOut() expression to the First Margin property.

Then you need to add an Opacity Animator to the text layer, set the Advanced Units to "Index" and "Subtract" the smoothness to Zero (not shown in the screenshot), and then set keyframes at the same time to cut off the last character and turn on the second one. The project looks like this for a single line of text:

To reproduce the same video exactly will take two text layers. The second one is for the middle horizontal part of the E.
