Animating Wireframes in 3d around a moving object

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to AE and am trying to create a grid style wireframe around a audio streamer clip for my YouTube channel.

I want an outline line to animate around the shape starting at the top then extrude downwards with a grid effect but opaque with opacity, flowing downards to the middle indentation in the streamer (where there is a glass screen in the middle) and down to the bottom. The streamer is panning from left to right in the shot I should say.

I struggle with 3D but I've tried corner pins and making the comp on cinema 4d to extrude it down, but I cant get the extrude to work on the main comp when it is working on the other (still set to cinema 4d). I could just create a series of boxes with curved edges for the rounded edges, and attach them to eachother in 3d using snapping I think, with grids on them too. But it doesnt seem to work in the main comp to which the corner pins relate

Any ideas are gratefully appreciated.

You have a wrong understanding of the workflow. AE's 3D tracking is completely arbitrary since it doesn't have a means of calibrating for scene scale and orientation, hence the spatial orientation is rarely ever consistent. You will simply have to copy over the tracked camera to your sub-comps to get any predictability while your work. the rest is not quite clear to me and your screen photo doesn't really tell us anything, but it seems that again you have a misunderstanding about the Standard renderer and C4D renderer being completely different and not mixing well. My impression is that you expect collapsed transformations to work with the C4D renderer, which would not be the case. Anyway, your project is perfectly doable (though in my view the camera is way too far in to provide stable tracking), you just need to adapt your workflow. Better screenshots and a better explanation might help to figure things out.
