Animation Template "Transitions - Dissolves" Problem

Question

Hi everyone,

so i wanted to make a text dissolve. Only problem is, that the blur of the dissolve stops at the text window border.

I know there was an effect that got rid of it but i am going crazy not finding it anywhere.

Can someone please help here?

The effect is called Grow Bounds and other than that the usual step would be to pre-compose such things to be better able to control the outcome. Mylenium

Cropped screenshots don't tell us anything about your workflow or give any real indication of the problem. Select the problem layer, press the 'u' key twice to reveal all modified properties, make sure both the switches and modes columns are visible in the timeline by turning on the first two icons at the bottom left corner of the timeline, take a screenshot of the entire UI, then embed it* so we can see what's going on. The only possible solution that I can offer to your problem is don't use After Effects as a video editing app to make transitions between shots and Pre-compose any layer that has an effect applied that isn't working. Pre-compose your text layer before you add the blur.

* The "Drag & Drop here..." area is buggy and should not be used to share images. Please use the toolbar or just drag your images to the reply field.
