Animations not appearing in preview or render

Hi guys, I'm new to after effects and am scratching my head with this one, I have animated shapes and text that work when I manually drag the slider to see how they move and animate. Still, when I preview, the shapes and text just don't appear, and when I render and send to media encoder, they still don't appear. I'm at a loss here
