Any suggestions on how to create this effect?

I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to create this complicated effect. It's many photos moving back in space to form one photo. Getting the final photo to start out with that kind of 3D pixelation is the trick. It may have been done in another program in 3D but I don't know, maybe an AE plug-in or template. Thanks for any suggestions.

After Effects includes a preset that does what you want. In your Effects and Presets search field, search pixelstorm to find the preset >Card Wipe - 3D Pixelstorm. It's based on a complex effect, Card Wipe, which is why there's already a preset to help you get started. The trick is to have all the photos on a single image which you then apply the effect to. You then decide how many columns and rows will work, choose offsets in 3d space, etc. There are two other Card Wipe presets which you could also experiment with (search Card Wipe).

Thank you, Annette!  This effect would be useful to build the final single photo if I blended with an animation of all the multiple photos flying away.

Hey there, @kalibahlu,

I'm Kevin from Adobe Support, a moderator here. I read about your issue. Thanks for providing the video reference. Yes, I've seen this effect in various places, as well. I hope someone in the community can help provide the proper workflow for creating it shortly. Sorry for the frustration.

Cheers,
Kevin
