App (version 24) pause or stopped when open the alt menu (Files, Edit, Composition, Layers, etc...)

Hello,

I just updated my AE to version 24.0 on Windows 11. The app works fine for the first few minutes, but then whenever I open the menu (Layers for example), the app freezes for a while, sometimes even crashes. I just started a new project, so I believe the workplace is not heavy yet. Anyone with similar problem?

I didn't open any panel at the time, closing also doesn't help. But reducing the RAM available for AE to let the system have more space seems to fix it somehow.

We've heard reports of this occasionally happening, caused by the Character Panel being opened and trying to process font changes. If you have the Characater Panel open, can you close it and then see if the problem reproduces?
