audio being slow

my audio in after effects starts off normal then every second it changes pitch and speed for nor reason. its not the render time because it only has the audio to load and it says it is all rendered. also,  the time goes up normally so its not the render time. it dose this with all audio files so i am very confused how to fix it.

Without actzual info about your audfio preferences, preview settings, your system's hardware and so on we can't really tell you much. At the very least convert the MP3 to a normal WAV file. AE has always been terrible at dealing with MP3s to begin with and things like adaptive data and sampel rates can easily exacerbate these problems.
