Audio not working in After Effects

The audio on my project suddenly stopped working in After Effects.

I'm using 2020 versions of AE, CA and Prem Pro on a Dell Inspiron 5491 32GB RAM OS Windows 10

I have done all the checks suggested on YouTube Videos

1- no accidental manual unchecks

2- Audio Hardware preferances set to the correct speakers

3- Audio output mapping set to correct speakers

4- Laptop audio preferances aligned to AE

I have tried Dynamic Linking from both CA and Prem Pro. In both those packages the audio plays fine.

Using tips from other threads I have ensured that I have CA/Prem Pro open before import to AE

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do now. And am a bit desperate- i actually can't run my business without fixing this.

Help please. Anyone!!

Correct answer GG AIW

Probelm solved. Got onto a chat with Adobe- agent told me to check point (2) noted above. and maddeningly it was set to the wrong thing. Now I know I have checked this about 4 times already!!!!

Anyway works now- but feeling either stupid or dupped not sure which.
