Hi,
everytime I try to export an H264 video from After Effects I need to change “Audio Output” to “Audio Output ON” cause if I use “Audio Output Auto” my audio layer hadn’t recognize and output file is without audio.
Of course if I use “ON” my output file has audio.

Can someone help me?

    That's strange!

What version of After Effects are you using? Are you on macOS or Windows? Is it happening in all the projects? Can you try running After Effects in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled and test it on a new project? That'll help us narrow down the issue.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Nishu

Hi, I’m running 26.2.1 on Windows, but it doensn’t work good from different version ago.
    It’s happening on every projects.
I tried to export in safe mode and as you hope there’s audio in the file.
Which kind of plugin could block “Auto”? How can I solve the problem without disable useful plugin?

That confirms one of your third-party plugins is interfering with AE's audio detection. To find which one without losing the ones you actually use, you can use the Manage Effects feature to bisect:

    1. Go to Effect > Manage Effects.
    2. Disable half of your third-party plugins, then click OK. AE will restart.
    3. Try the export with Audio Output Auto. If audio is included, the problematic plugin is in the half you disabled. If still missing, it's in the half still enabled.
    4. Repeat by halving again until you've narrowed it down to a single plugin.

Once you identify the culprit, your options are:

    - Check for an updated version from the plugin's developer.
    - Report it to the plugin developer so they can fix it.
    - Keep using Audio Output ON as a simple workaround.

Let me know which plugin turns out to be the cause.

    Thanks,
