Hi madebyskull,

 

I see the problem. Does it happen with all media file or just this one? What are the details of the footage (format, codec)?

Let us know, we're here to help. To start, try clearing the media cache (Edit > Purge > All Memory & Disk Cache).

What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM)? Did clearing the media cache help? If not, try resetting the preferences. Here's how: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342
