Basic Composition Duration Questions

  1. I dragged the Work Area End to where I want the composition/animation to stop. Is this all I need to do set up the duration of a composition?
  2. If so, is the duration setting under Composition Settings just a different way of dragging the Work Area End?

    Composition Duration and Work Area are two different things. The Composition Duration is the total length of your timeline, how long the entire comp runs from start to finish. The Work Area, on the other hand, is used to focus on a specific section of that timeline. You can set a Work Area to preview just a portion of your comp instead of the full duration, and it can also be used to export only that selected section.
