Question

beginning .3 seconds of audio silent in After Effects

A .wav file I exported from Audition on a Mac is acting strangely on playback in After Effects. The sound doesn't actually play until about .3 seconds into the clip. This occurs on Mac only. On a PC the file plays fine. When viewed in Audition on both platforms the file waveform is identical. On my Mac, the file plays correctly in Quicktime Player, VLC, and Apple Music. It only misbehaves in AfterEffects.

I'd try resetting preferences: To reset After Effects preferences to factory defaults, hold Command+Option+Shift (Mac) while launching the application, and then click "Reset Preferences" in the Startup Repair Options dialogue box.

Thanks, Rob. I reset preferences, but that didn't fix the issue.
