Best way export & reuse particle effects?

Hello, I have some particle effects that I wish to reuse in several different projects.

What is the best or most efficient way to get the effects out of the original project and into brand new projects?

Thanks for any advice

Correct answer Rick Gerard

When you get settings you like with any effect, select the layer, spin down the > icon on the Layer in the timeline, Select Effects, and then use the Animation Manu and choose Save Animation Preset. You can now repeat it at any time in any comp in any project.

Without more specific info nobody can tell you much. For simple stuff of course simply rendering a clip with transparency might work, but for complex systems this may not be an option because you lose stuff like propef 3D interaction. In the end most of the time pre-rendering anything may not have any benefits. Simple stuff will render fast enough as live effects, complex stuff will require to be editable to work it's magic...

Specifically I made a solid with CC Particle World attached to it. Lots of fine tuning but it's ultimately a templates/basis that I would like to carry into different projects.

If it were Photoshop, perhaps the analogy would simply be to Smart Object from one document to another.
