Best way to achieve splatter and drip effect with this text logo here?

Hey guys! I have this logo here that I'm working on, and you'll see that after the gun shoots a few times, the camera pans to the right and my text logo pops out.

While each text is popping out, I want some a splattering effect to hit my text and drip down from the letters.

I tried using the Mr. Mercury effect, and while that was easy, it was too circular and too crowded.

I want the final effect to look something like this, but with movement of it dripping down, and also with the flying of the splatter hitting the text, and then the drip down.

Anybody know a way?
