Bevel Transparency Question
Hello,
I had a question regarding how the Layer Style 'Bevel and Emboss' works and how it spans over multiple compositions. As you can see in 'AE Picture 1' below, I just have normal text with no effects sitting on top of a background particle video. That text layer is in its own composition, and that composition is sitting inside the composition in the picture called "MAIN COMP - I SEE THE LIGHT". I then used the Screen mode to combine the layers of the "MAIN COMP - I SEE THE LIGHT" composition, with the background particle video.
In 'AE Picture 2', it's the same photo, but the text composition (which is nested inside the "MAIN COMP - I SEE THE LIGHT" composition) has a Bevel Layer Style applied to it. However, there's a bit of transparency to it as you can see. Is there a reason why it would be slightly transparent? Is it something to do with the multiple compositions not compositing the bevel correctly?
I would assume the text should look like 'AE Picture 3' (where there's no transparency), but it's not. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks all!
