Hi

I am trying to bring a simple shape from illustrator into After Effects.

I've used the import file option and it bring it in but it has a border the size of the layer, but just want the shape not the shape and the layer border.

How do i get just the shape?

Thanks

Correct answer Mylenium

Check the options in the import dialog. You need to use layer size, not composition/ artboard size.

Hi Mark,

You should submit this new question in a new post as this one has already been marked with a correct answer which means most people, assuming it has a correct answer,  will not bother to look at it.

And also that any solution to your new question will not be able to marked as correct.

Marking an answer correct serves two purposes: The first is to let people looking to answer questions konw that the post has been answered and no longer requires attention.  The other reaon is that users searching for an answer to the same question will immediately see the correct answer rather than having to search through the thread.

So please post this new question of yours as a proper "new" question so that it gets the attention it deserves and can be marked as answered if and when it is answered.

Hi mark,

As Myl's answer was the post that was actually "correct",  I've unmarked your post thanking him for the correct answer as THE correct answer and properly marked HIS answer as correct.
