Calculations effect not getting layer styles (need to close and reopen project for it to work)

In Ae 2023 the calculations effect was working fine, but in Ae 2024 it's not.
The effect is not getting the layer styles from the second source as it should.
I need to close and reopen the project in order for it to work properly and get the layer styles.
