Camera Crew script/panel not working in After Effects 2025

Hello,

I'm having an issue with the "Camera Rig" script/panel in After Effects 2025.

The panel opens correctly, but it doesn't work:
The camera doesn't move or focus when using the controls.
I have a 3D camera in my composition.
I've tried enabling "Allow scripts to write files and access the network" in Preferences → Scripting & Expressions.
 I've also restarted After Effects and made sure the script is in the correct folder (ScriptUI Panels).

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the script, a compatibility issue with After Effects 2025, or if I'm missing a step to get it working.

Could someone please guide me on how to properly configure it to control the camera?

Thanks for writing in, Ronaldo.

 

What version of After Effects are you using? I am on the latest version and the script seems to be working fine for me. You need to put the script inside the Scripts folder instead of ScriptUI Panels folder. If it still doesn't help, you might need to contact the script manufacturer.

Hey, hello, thank you very much for responding. I have version 25.4.0 (Build 86).

And another question: Where should that script be for it to work properly? Because there are two script folders at these addresses.

The first is

This PC Local Disk Program File Adobe Adobe After Effect 2025 Support Files Script

And the other would be this:

This PC Local Disk User (Username) AppData Roaming Adobe After Effect 25.4 Script

Can you please tell me where to put it so it works properly?

And another thing, I don't know if I'm choosing the right camera? My after effect can be seen in the screenshot. Could you please let me know if everything is correct? Thanks.

It needs to go in this location. Screenshot of the location is attached. You can also try running the script using File > Scripts > Run Script File to test if the script works or not.

You've selected the correct layer.
