Question

Camera zooming out and the face I replace stays HUGE (: (I'm a complete beginner)

Hi Forum,

I just downloaded AE today for a cool idea I have, I want to take a video and change one of the faces to an image. I managed to learn from Youtube tutorials how to track the person in the video and insert the photo that will follow the tracking, but the problem that remains is that in the middle of the video the camera is zooming out and the photo I placed remains in its size so - becoming huge (:

Is there any way to fix it other than going frame by frame and resize it little by little?

Thanks!

I suggest you read up on basics of keyframing. You will have to animate some of the scaling most likely, but it is doubtful that you actually have to do it frame by frame. Typically such tasks only require a handful of keyframes, though of course we can't be sure without seeing your footage. Either way, it's most likely simpler than you think, so just try. Other than that you canb of course always try to expand your track or use a different method, but that will proabably be just as much work. Using zooms is pretty much "bad practice" for any kind of tracking and should be avoided as fixing it in post will take a lot of time.

Thank you so much for your reply!!!!

I ended up deleting AE from my computer as I felt it is too heavy and doesn't run smoothly...
