Can I see the image one frame ago when using the brush paint function?

I am drawing a line frame by frame on the video with a brush.
Draw a line and go to the next frame with the pagedown key.
I have to press the pageup key to see what I drew a frame ago.
Is there any function that makes the previous frame appear translucent in the current frame?
