Question

Can't continue working on the project due to After Effects errors

I was working on my project on version 24.5 and I needed to create a 3D object. I decided to switch to Advanced 3D and After Effects, after thinking for a long time, told me "Before you exit the program you have one last chance to save your project". I didn't understand and saved it as a copy and AE crashed. Later I tried to re-enter the project - same thing. I went to the copy - same thing. Reinstalled After Effects - same thing. I tried installing previous versions, eventually I was able to do something, but at some point After Effects started giving me a lot of errors, finally telling me to save the project before exiting and crashing.

Tried to contact support - nothing so far. Can anyone help with this? I can of course start again, but I'd like to get back to that stage of the project.

My system: RTX 4070 Ti, Threadripper 3960X, 64gb RAM. After Effects is on a SATA ssd (500gb, fully cleaned)

Can you launch After Effects with safe mode? You check and take out the third-party plug-ins if After Effects can be run.

Hi. Started the project in Safe Mode with 3d plugins disabled. All the same errors, but then it writes that my project is damaged, and then asks to save it, converted and a copy. I don't understand what I have damaged.....

That's not ideal. Can you try creating a new project and importing your project in it? Let us know if that helps. If it doesn't, can you share the project file with me to test? Feel free to DM me if you do not want to share it publicly.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,
Nishu
