Question

Can't do both solid and stroke text on same line in AE

Hi there! I'm trying to solve a little issue I have with character styles in AE & Premiere. In Premiere, I can have on the same line some text that is solid and some that is just stroke. However, when I try to do the same in After Effects, it will only let me do one or the other per line of text. Any ideas why this might be?

If selecting a single letter or word in a line of text does not work, the problem may be a cache/preview issue or even a font issue. I'm having no problems.

If you are using Essential Graphics to create a MOGRT to use in Premiere, you will need a separate text layer for the different fill options.

Weird...I guess for now I'll just separate the layers or make the one bit of text slightly different in size. Thanks for your help!

How are you selecting the text to apply the effect in Ae?

I've just been double-clicking on the text to higlight it, then trying to use the Character panel to swap the fill for stroke and such. But when I make adjustments with the one bit of text highlighted, it makes the adjustment to all the text.
