Can't paste into After Effects and keep formatting made in Illustrator.

Hello community! I recently updated to AE26 and now when I paste text from illustrator, the formatting gets lost. Did anyone experience this? Please, is there a workaround in order to keep the text formatting, specially OpenType options??

Maybe try re-setting preferences in After Effects. It also helps when the Gremlins start messing with things. Here’s the instructions:

To reset After Effects settings, hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac) while launching the application to bring up the Startup Repair menu, then click "Reset Preferences" for a full reset or "Start in Safe Mode" for a temporary one-time reset to troubleshoot.

Is all the formatting being lost or only some of it?

I just did this with some text from illustrator to AE and the formatting came through.

But the only formatting I had was font, font size, and some custom leading.

I downgraded back to AE25, and it also seems not to be working great.
I could paste with full formatting once, another time it substituted the font but kept capitals, color and opentype options, and yet another time it lost it all… maybe it might be something in Illustrator side? I'm using version 30.1 in a mac OS 26.2 (25C56).

I'm copying text from Indesign, pasting into Illustrator, copying again and pasting into After Effects. It used to work fine, but now isn't.
