Can't search for Folders in the Project Search bar

Question

In previous versions of AE you can search for "Folder" in the Project Panel search bar and everything but Folders will be filtered out – handy for quickly applying label colors to all folders in one go or renaming/organizing them.

In Version 25.0.1 (Build 2) searching for Folder in the Project Panel search bar, nothing shows up.

Hi @RyanSummers!Thanks for reporting this. Do you have the "Type" column shown in your Project panel? The column is what allows the search for the word "Folder" to work as you've described. Cheers,- John, After Effects Engineering Team

Brilliant – it isn't in my Columns for the Project Panel and as soon as I add it, Folder works – which begs the question why it isn't inherited with my Workspace when it gets imported over from a previous version. I was surprised by how much of my Custom Workspace was there waiting for me in 2025 when I choose Import Previous versions in that initial pop up box when I started it for the first time.

I wouldn't have thought to add those columns back into the Project Panel. Thanks!
