Can't see drop shadow or stroke I've added to any 3D layer

Question

I've tracked a shot and created a 3D camera, added a logo and text in the shot. I've added drop shadow and stroke to the text, and drop shadow to the logo but they don't show up. As soon as I turn off 3D in each layer, they're magically there.

I did the same exact thing last year to a project. As a matter of fact, I opened the project and there was the drop shadow.

I've added them as an effect and as a layer style, neither work.

I'm pull out what few hairs I have left.

Turns out this was the issue:"Sounds like you've enabled the Cinema4D rendering engine. Switch back to Classic 3D in your composition settings, and see if that fixes it."Problem solved!

For anyone still having issues it may be because you're trying to apply it to a composition. If so check the resize layer box in the radial shadow effect control panel.
