Cannot bind mouse 4 or 5

Hello, I am trying to bind The timeline panel zoom in and zoom out on my mouse 4 and 5 for better workflow however after effects is not letting me bind those two mouse keys. How can I bind them?

This has nothing to do with AE. Standard mice only have so many functions and that's all AE supports via the host operating system's standard APIs. Everything else is down to your fancy mouse's custom driver and the configuration options in there.
