Cannot draw country shape in correct layer in GeoLayers3

I have been trying to use the VC Orb sample project in Geolayers3 to create some animations. However I am having difficulty with this. Whenever I draw a new shape on the map in the "01 texture" mapcomp it is inserted into the wrong composition ("Texture Spherical" composition rather than the "01 Texture" composition as it should). Does anyone know how to adjust the Geolayer 3 settings so that it inserts the country shapes into the correct layer?
