Hi all,

I have trouble transforming an illustrator file into a vector layer, I hope someone could help.

My versions are: After Effects CC 2018 (15.1.2) and Illustrator CC 2017 (2017.1.0).

So my problem is that when I add an Illustrator file to my composition, when I right-click it the menu does not show the option "Create shapes from vector layer". It worked yesterday, so I it used to work at some point...

My Illustrator file is saved with the following options:

When importing the Illustrator file, I tried the options "Import as : Footage" and as "Composition-Retain layer sizes".

What I do is that I drag the .ai from my project assets to my composition. Then, when I right-click the .ai layer, according to the tutorials I watched I should see the option "Create shapes from vector layer", but I do not: (I also tried from the Layer menu)

I cannot understand what I did wrong, because it worked yesterday and not today.

The option you are looking for it is under the LAYER > CREATE. Adobe made changes to this menu to group some options under a couple of new categories: CREATE, OPEN and REVEAL in CC2018.
