center layer or null in composition view

i wonder if this is not possible. i have this videofootage, with layers in 3d on it. i want to scrub trough the timeline while a specific layer is centered/stabilized in the view.

Thanks for the answers. My question was not clear enough.

As in Mocha you have the quick stabilzation mode. When selecting a tracked layer, it stays in the same place when scrubbing trough the timeline. So when selecting a layer in 3d view in AE i am searching for that option too.

There is no Stabilize view based on a layer in After Effects. If the camera is animated, you could duplicate the camera, put the duplicate on the top, and remove the keyframes. If the layer is animated, you could Duplicate the camera, remove any animation from the camera, then Parent the duplicate camera to the 3D layer you want to isolate.

If you need to stop the movement of a 3D layer so you can animate something on the layer, the easiest way would be to pre-compose the 3D layer and make sure you move all attributes to the new comp. Collapse transformations in the Main comp, so the Cameras and Lights in the main comp still work on the pre-composed 3D layer. You can then open the Pre-comp and do your editing on the layer. You can adjust the Active Camera view or add a Camera to the Pre-comp to look around your 3D layer while editing the layer.

If you have camera-tracked footage and successfully added 3D layers to the shot, and you want to freeze the motion of one of the 3D layers, the easiest approach would be to create a new composition, drag your Camera Tracked Comp into the new one, then use Mocha AE to Motion Stabilise the nested Camera Tracked comp by tracking only Translation, scale, and Rotation, then returning to After Effects, collecting the tracking data, then selecting invert in the tracking data and applying the tracking info to the shot. This will stop the motion of the part of the shot that you tracked.

I'm not sure how useful that would be, but that is by far the easiest way to stop the motion of any object you placed in a Camera Tracked shot.

Without more info it is really difficult to help you but if you are looking for a way to maintain your layer into the center of your 3D composition, then this layer must be a 2D layer not a 3D one. This way will not react to the camera movement.
