Change colour in stock footage?

Hello,

I could use some help with this.

Basically I have this stock footage of some plexus lines moving about. I needed to change the colour of it to a specific blue which the client wanted. They want different versions in certain background colours.

I am struggling to get the colour plexus right on a gradient colopured bg.

The one I did below worked well on a white bg. I added an invert effect and added a tint. They want the same colour on a gradient coloured bg which I can't seem to manage to do. I don't know how to get rid of that white bg colour.

Any advice/help would be appreciate it

Changing the mode type doesn't work.
