Go to document folder and create new file txt
name the file as ae_force_english and restart the program and it's done
you can hide the file if you are worry if someone delete it

    Really simple ! :

    1. Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2017\Support Files\zdictionaries

    2. Find your correct language. ex: fr_FR

    3. Open the folder

    4.Rename your ex: after_effects_fr_FR.dat in after_effects_fr_en.dat

    5. Restart After Effects and you're done

    Hi

    Just Go Here ,  c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2015\Support Files\zdictionaries\

remove all Files exept after_effects_de .

    Then Change after_effects_de To after_effects_en .

    Restart AE And Done ^_^

if u want other languages , just change the _de to en,ru,es,fr,it,ja,pt,ko

here is what worked for me switching AE CC2015 from German to English:

    Just rename the following file:

    c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2015\Support Files\zdictionaries\after_effects_de.dat

    to something like: after_effects_de.dat.ORI

Hope this works in other language too.

    hello

I have the same problem !

have u written ".ORI" after " .dat"

and u still leave _de ??

could u explain more please ?

    Hi there,

yes, I just added ".ORI" after ".dat". I believe you can rename it to anything else except the file names in the in that directory.

This way AE cannot find the German (or any other) language file und uses the English instead.

The reason why I  used "after_effects_de.dat.ORI" is the following: whenever I want to switch back to German I just have to delete the ".ORI" part and AE will run in German again. The "ORI" was my hint or reminder that the rest of thefile name is the ORIginal file.

At times I use German Tutorials - and so I want top be able to quickly switch back and forth.

    Hope it's clearer now ...

    Viel Erfolg (Good Luck)

Language for your apps you have to chose or change in Creative Cloud App:

Unfrtunatelly if you've already instaled apps that you have to have in different language you have to uninstal them and instal after you will change language in CC App.Hope that that will help you.

The only problem is, that once you change the language back to another language, for example german, the creative cloud tells you again to update your after effects. When you do this, you get back to the other language, in this case german.

So that is really not a very good solution from adobe. It is great that you can switch the language but then remember that i installed it in englisch and don´t show me the option to update it again and uninstall then my englisch version.
