Changing the composition size messes up the guides porpotions

I'm setting the guides in after effects to align several photos, when i scale up the composition size the guides are no longer aligned

i need the guides to be aligned after scaling up so i can add more footage
is there a way?

You can avoid it by setting the composition anchor in the Advanced composition settings to match the top left corner. Otherwise if you do such stuff regulalrly you may want to invest in a script that helps you setting up your grid guides such as this for instance:
