Changing the field of view.

Dear all,

I'm pretty new to VR and want to change the field of view of a 360 project. Slightly more zoomed out than the usual 90 degrees so that certain rooms just look better.

I know I can change it with the VR camera but it doesn't render it out that way. Is there a way of rendering it out?

Many thanks,

Simon

Your views are just regular comps and you can arrange layers as you see fit. The rest is just understanding perspective in the traditional painterly/ photographic sense and how to create illusions with fake scale.

The actual FOV is defined by your player/ VR device, so whatever you do in AE pretty much bears zero relevance on exports. If you want a different look, you have to hard-set it by placing your layers accordingly and baking it into the environment.

Really appreciate your reply. Could you or anyone suggest what tool on AE to use to 'bake' it into the view I'd like.

Many thanks,

Juice.
