Clips not showing after i delete a camera or null object

Very new to AE but long time CS and CC user. I can't for the life of me figure out why when I delete a camera or the null object in my composition the visuals in my composition can no longer be seen. The layers are all there and the audio track still plays. Somehow the null object control is stuck in a very far away position which makes it impossible to move the camera with any sort of real ability. I'm trying to get a new null object in place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Active camera view shows all layers. All other views do not show 2D layers. Only the Active Camera view will render.

Without a screenshot showing all the modified properties of the layers that are giving you problems we can only guess, but I think you either have a bunch of 3D layers that are no longer framed up because you moved them and the camera or you are on one of the other views and have only 2D layers.

Posting a screenshot is very easy. Just select the layers giving you problems, press the uu, PrintScreen and Paste to the forum.

Make sure that you are spending some significant time with the User Guide and watching tutorials presented by professionals. More than half of the new YouTube tutorials I see are presented by amateurs and they present inefficient workflows and dead-end techniques that you should not get in the habit of using.
