Closing After Effects

Hello, Back years ago, I had a earlier version of After Effects so I thought that I would try the latest

version especially since it had Character Animator. I have a Dell XPS computer with I5-2600.

After Effects does a great job with what I am doing (importing my Animator files and making a

small movie) But when I close it (either by the menu option or the "X", ) it keeps using my computer's

cpu.  I open task manager (takes awhile to open) and it shows that the after effects .exe file is using

over 400,000k.  I have tried purging the cache and all that before I close but it doesn't seem to help.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Or with my older computer, is it something that I just have to

live with. Not a real big problem but I would like to know if there is anything that can be done about it.

Thanks.

Make sure you are on the latest build for your current version and always use the Close function from the menu. If that does not solve the problem then file a bug report and give complete hardware, os and workflow descriptions in your report. Here is a link: Feature Request/Bug Report Form - Adobe
