Collect Files Error...

Hello!

Last day i have an issue with the Collect Files Function.

I'm working for an agency and we created a series of animations . I have to send the files to the client as the conctract says.

We are using Dropbox as a storage and im on 18.0.1 version of After Effects.

So i made the ''collect files'' for the 2 of the 3 animations that left to send and it worked fine. But on the third one an error appears all time. ?It shows that i have missing files and that some of the paths doesn't work. Even if i start to do manually some of the re-link, it continues to bring this error for the same files!!

Does anyone know what to do? Any help is usefull 🙂

Thanks in advance

PS. The issue is on the 3rd animation. So we reused a lot of the graphics that had been  already animated. So in that file i have the after effects files from the previous two.

On the collect files windows i have check All comps and then nothing else.

I would avoid using Dropbox or other Syncing drive as storage for your media files. Its likely that the drive did not complete syncing so the files are corrupted.

If I was you I'd copy all the files onto an offline SSD or fast HDD.  Then open the project, use collect files to move them into a folder. Then zip up the folder and place it onto Dropbox if you need to share it.

Thanks for your reply!

I've noticed that when i deleted the previous .aep files from the project everything worked as it should.

So something wrong happended there. But yes i'll keep your advice in mind for future cases! 😄
