In the Gradient Editor color change is Gradual but in the composition window it is Abrupt. I want a Gradual color change. How to fix it?

It does not depend on that but on the Start Point and End Point on the gradient inside the Shape Layer. You can also select the Selection Tool (V), select your shape and you will see an on-screen control to move the Start Point and End Point of your gradiente where you need it.
