Color Issues upon importing psd/ai files in After Effects

Hey everyone,

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Well, the problem is with the importing the files and the rendered video. Imported files(psd and ai files) are somewhat saturated and darker in after effects than my psd/Ai files. Color management is turned off. When I turn it on and set it to srgb it seems accurate in the composition window but after the render the video is still dark and saturated. I tried turning on preserve rgb option in the color tab of Output Module Settings but the result is still the same, dark and saturated colors of the video similar to the file when the color management is turned of.

In the attached video you can see the difference in the file when the color management is turned on and off.
Satured dark colors : Color management set to none
Dull colors ( same as file, accurate colors which I want) : Color management set to srgb

Do you have any idea about how I can resolve this?

Thanks a ton in advance.

Color management isn't a simple on/ off thing or arbitrarily setting color profiles. Without basics like calibrating your monitor none of this means anything. Also keep in mind that "dumb" media players rarely ever use correct color management and colors will always look off, even if just a tiny bit. The same applies to video on the web.

Thanks so much for sharing your insight. I'll look through the articles you shared. May I know what would you suggest for setting the working color space and while rendering the output color space?
