Color problems

I am having color issues when opening files from another colleague. I have completed an after effects job, collected it and sent it to him but when he opens it the colors are wrong.

Places where a layer has been converted to a vector and the color is pipetted to match the layer are showing differently on his machine.

Is it the illustrator file of after effects?

We use the same company creative cloud so can we ensure our color settings are the same for illustrator and after effects on both our machines?

You are not using the same color management settings and that's all there is to it. You need to use the same color settings all the way and also account for different monitor profiles. You may want to read the relevbant sections of the online help. For any concrete advice we'd need much more info about those settings, the systems in question, the contents of the project and so on, anyway, none of which you have provided.

    Thank you for your reply.
    We have made sure we are now all on the same software update and the same versions of illustrator and after effects
    We then went into the color settings in bridge to synchronize to the same color options and applied.

    This has not solved the issue. In our tests we each made an illustrator file in RGB color and made three colour blocks.
    When this was imported into after effects and the layer converted to a vecor, the color changes slightly.
    I’ll attach a screen grab to explain more clearly.

    Is there another color setting we need to look at?
