Question

Color Profile changed?

In the process of creating a three dimensional logo, my color profile has changed. I created a cube in Illustrator, imported the layout into after effects and formed a 3D cube out of the shape layers.

I spent a notable amount of time creating custom icons and experimenting with colors for my logo. After I fixed the cube so that there is no overlapping, the color changed on one layer to a washed out Burgundy color. All of my other colors maintain the same hue except for the color red. The color was accurate in After Effects until I got my edges and overlapping fixed. I’ve tried everything I can think of, like updating the symbol in illustrator. I’m trying to avoid redoing the project over in after effects.

Snapping was not working properly in Illustrator but I was able to make the necessary changes in After Effects.

Inside the illustrator appearance panel, our option to edit 3D effects, Bevel and extrude is no longer inside the panel. Whereas I’m able to edit all other color panels of the cube inside appearance panel. When I try to edit the layer in 3D menu, the symbols panel is not formatting properly after clearing the space.

In an attempt to fix the color issue I’ve created a new symbol including my icon with chosen background (color) in place. When I go into the 3D Extrude and Bevel Options menu, Map Art options, the symbols panel is not formatting correctly. After trying to upload a new symbol with background and icon I got the following error message from illustrator. “The operation cannot be complete because of an unknown error. [PARM]

In an attempt to fix the color issue, I went to the project settings and changed the color working space to Adobe RGB. I’m Working RGB colorspace in Illustrator and Adobe RGB color working space in After Effects. Changing the color workspace did not correct the color profile.

Does anybody know how i can fix this problem?

This link would be helpful about the color management.  I wonder you use a RGB color space in Illustrator.
