Colorize with AE?

Help wanted! Searching for programs/apps that can colorize black and white videos.

Got a lot of short videos from the WW II-era that I want to colorize. Adobes helprobot claims (I got the Adobe CS) that Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop can do it, but I´ve only managed to colorize stills in PS (which I do a lot, se attached pic), and I dont get any links how to do it in either PP, AE or PS.

Anyone got any idea or description how to colorize?

PS  I´ve tried the apps  "AnyMP4 Mac video con" and "AVCLabs Vi..." but they just makes the image more "brownish". DS

Thanks for reaching out, jans76253362.

I am sure there are multiple ways to do this, but here is how I did it once:

1. Import the media in Premiere Pro or Media Encoder and export it as a Photoshop Sequence.

2. Import one of the files in Photoshop and colourise it using Neural Filters. Before colourising the frame, do not forget to create an Action to record the colourising process.

3. Export a Droplet file from Photoshop to automate the process for the rest of the frames. Here's a video that explains the process: https://adobe.ly/44lxQ8X

4. Once all the frames have been exported, you can import the processed frames in Premiere Pro and export it as a video file.

Hope it helps. Let me know how it goes.

Oooh, that's a neat workflow.  I kinda want to try it too.
