Question

Comp RESOLUTION does not match OUTPUT resolution (h.264) with Render Queue

I've not encountered this issue ever before but I've been able to consistently repeat it.

1. Create a comp with the resolution of 6336 x 288

2. Output using Render Queue in h.264 format

3. The resolution of the resulting video is 4096 x 186 (it should be 6336 x 288)

Verified incorrect resolution with Quicktime, Media Encoder and AE.

Correct output reoslution is achieved using other output formats.
Correct output reoslution is achieved exporting to Media Encoder with h.264

AE Version 24.2.1

MacOS Ventura 13.6.4 (Intel)

It's likely the Level and Profile for the H.264 format is not high enough to support a 6336x288 resolution. To check that, click on the Output Module H.264 setting in the Render Queue. Then go into Format Options...

Then review the summary on the dialog and make sure the Profile and Level are set high enough so that the 6336x288 output is supported.

Then render the comp and it should output in the desired resolution.
